UPDATE: Started a Christmas pic. Whether or not it'll be ready for Christmas remains uncertain.

Yeah, it was kind of a snow day today. I say kind of because technically my school is open today, but I know half the teachers won't be there, I'd have to walk there (and the radio said that the snow has made it dangerous to walk) and I wouldn't be learning anything today anyway. I think my English teacher's still off and in French we'd just be watching a film, so I didn't see the point in walking through the snow just for that.

So yeah, I'm home, and since it's after 1:20, the Christmas Holidays have officially begun!

I should have more time for other stuff, maybe I'll even get a few decent pictures done, although unfortunately, that's not too likely because I've lost the inspiration to do that. All I want to do is sketches and little chibi things so I'm more likely to do those, maybe a poem or short story or two... who knows?

So yeah, you can probably expect me to do a few Christmas themed pics. We'll see, shall we?

Yeah, it's been a week since the performances finished, but I've got basically no desire to draw lately. I've only had inspiration to write (I wrote about 1500 words yesterday) which is good considering I want to take creative writing at Uni, but I still want to keep up with drawing.

The other day I had a good drawing day, I drew a kind of 'ageing' thing for Borna, showing him at age 7, 10 and 13 (13 is my favourite, he's a spotty, brace-faced young teenager ) but suddenly I couldn't draw him at age 16, which is his bloody current age!

So yeah, call it art block, call it laziness, whatever you call it, I call it NOT UPDATING IN NEARLY 2 MONTHS!

My aim is to at least get out a Christmas themed pic before... you know... Christmas Day and all... wish me luck!

Not that I've been at all active lately anyway, I just thought I'd mention that I will have basically no time until Sunday of next week (and that Sunday I will spend sleeping and watching crap TV in my pyjamas) because of performances and concerts and what have you.

Plus I'm so exhausted and run-down all the time lately, I don't really have it in me to draw anything at all anyway. Plus school is stressful.

But, for someone who thinks she might be coming down with that SAD winter depression thing, I'm actually in quite a good mood. Although that probably has something to do with the fact that I GOT MY FIRST UNIVERSITY OFFER! I can now go to the University of Kent provided I get A/B at A Level.

Not to mention I've been keeping myself happy by watching Ed Edd n Eddy pretty much non-stop. Don't judge me, it's stupid, it's zany and it's officially part of my childhood. I'm allowed it.

Well, happier, anyway...

I really needed to vent last night, but I feel much better about the whole ordeal now.

I've redone most of the work I'd lost (well, the work I still need now and that I don't already have a hard copy of anyway) and my memory stick's reformatted and fixed up so I can continue to store work and I've got a nifty new system for saving homework and writing and stuff.

Not to mention, I downloaded the newer version of openCanvas (I've been using a really buggy, old version for a while now) to cheer myself up and boy did it work. It runs beautifully, I can customise and save all the separate brushes I usually use and the tones panel is so much more straightforward and fluid than before. Plus, it's got a really nifty way to select the hue and saturation of a colour. Whatever, the point is, I'm ecstatic with it.

Plus, for some reason, reading up on 1950s hairstyles for the Pajama Game as put me in a better mood too. It feels good to be happy again, I hate being pissy and annoying.
